Background and Faculties
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is an independent intergovernmental organization established on July 29th, 1957. Due to the international misuse of nuclear technology in warfare and by executive support towards the foundation in the United Nations General Assembly in 1953; proclaiming headquarters in Vienna, Austria, this organization prioritizes management security and human integrity. Conformed by 179 member states, the agency collaborates with multiple United Nations organs to conceive advanced development, support under-resourced regions, and ensure nuclear applications safety in humanity in an international context.
The International Atomic Energy Agency promotes the safe, secure, and peaceful use of nuclear science and technology while preventing the proliferation of nuclear weapons for a sustainable development by:
